A Rocker Switch is simple on/off switch which works on the property of Single Pole Single Throw (SPST). It just rocks (rather than trips) when pressed, which means one side of the switch is raised while the other side is depressed much like a See-Saw which rocks back and forth.
It has one Input and one Output. When open, they disconnect the circuit so that current cannot flow to the load. When closed, current can flow and power the load. We can see that a SPST switch that has 1 terminal and one position. One terminal is for the input and the same terminal is for the output.
